Keene Valley Property - The Tanager Waterfall
We are delighted to announce our acquisition of 16 beautiful, undeveloped acres in Keene Valley for use by our hiking groups. This acquisition was made possible through the estate of Frances (“Wiggie”) Welch, Tad’s mother, and we dedicate it to her memory.
Recent restrictions on group size in the High Peaks, while designed to lessen the environmental impact of campers in these popular areas, have hindered our ability to staff our trips as fully as we would like. We look forward to expanding our trip offerings by sending groups to Keene Valley, just a short drive from trailheads to the highest mountains in the Adirondacks.
Thanks to Mac Ridge for coming up early in 2006 to help open camp and for joining us in making two campsites at the Waterfall.
