Summer 2016 Information

We will not be holding Tibetan Camp in the summer of 2016 so that we have a chance to re-evaluate our program and staffing. Please check back at the end of 2016 for information about the future of Tibetan Camp

Activities

Tibetan activities may include archery, Tibetan cooking, lungta printing, stone carving, kite making, Tibetan history, Tibetan drawing and painting, traditional songs, and story-telling. Regular camp activities include swimming, hiking, rock climbing, arts and crafts, kayaking, canoeing, rowing, and nature lore.

Directors & Staff

Tad Welch and Ali Schultheis Moore have directed Tanager Lodge Tibetan Camp since 2004. The staff consists of the regular trained counselors of Tanager Lodge (from our regular camp program), a licensed Registered Nurse, certified lifeguards and trip leaders, a kitchen staff, and Tibetan volunteers. Tibetan adults are also invited to participate in the program by leading Tibetan activities.
